For many, the meaning of graphic design is simple. It’s art. It’s color. It’s the ability to draw and create objects. But it’s pretty obvious that it doesn’t stop there anymore. Gone are the days that design is boxed and limited only to certain colors or subjects. Now, the ideas are limitless.
Veerle Pieters, one of the well-known graphic artist, has announced a Graphic Design Poster Competition open for everyone. Although the deadline for submission is on February 15, the reception has been overwhelming already. 5shutters has decided to share our own top picks. We’ve discovered some very talented people. Warning! Judging would definitely be difficult.

The large font used is very appropriate for the word “beauty”. FYI, the graphic was created by hand using watercolor and not just by Photoshop. Very nice.
